-1 I currently like the defender how it is, I think it's perfectly balanced to hold off people until you get to your nexus.
As stated above by others you can use /rejoin to rejoin a game after you either dc get scanned or something else.
Maybe it could cost 20k that's a decent amount on oppvp so that's not a bad price.
